抄録

Described in this paper is a machine for automatically inspecting the ampules containing pharmaceutical liquid to detect any particles of foreign matter contained in the ampules and to determine their quality. Heretofore, such inspection of ampules hes been made by skilled inspectors(mostly by female inspectors) under incandescent lamps. This method of inspection entirely depends upon the individual skill of inspectors, being subject to the influence of individual difference among inspectors and the difference of health condition even if the inspection is made by the same person. From the above fact, it is evident that the result of such inspection is not good. Given in this paper are the fundamental principle, mechanical construction, electronic device and some of the experimental results of this machine.
