The performance characteristics of an electronic dew-point hygrometer in a low humidity measurement are presented in some detail. <BR>The instrument consists of three parts, (1) a measuring chamber containing a cooled, polished metal mirror combined with a radio-frequency induction heater, (2) an electronic heating control servo-system to keep the mirror temperature at the dew-point of sample gas and (3) an indicator and/or recorder of the measured dew-point. The dew-point is measured automatically and continuously. I<BR>n a preliminary test at a certain atmospheric humidity of a room, the hygrometer had the precision of 0.2deg.C and very fast response. When applied in an extra-low humidity measure-ment, the instrument could make determination of water vapour of the dew-point -70°C and even in the dew-point range lower than -30°C, the precision of 1deg.C was attained with fast response.
