Studies on Medicinal Resources. XXXII. The Components of Rhizome of <I>Iris tectorum</I> MAXIMOWICZ (Iridaceae)

Besides tectroridin, two components, one of which is novel, have now been isolated from n-butanol extract of the rhizome of Iris tectorum MAXIMOWICZ.The one (I), mp 210-214°, colorless microneedles, was idetntified as androsin (acetovanillon-β-D-glucoside). The other (II_A) C₂₃H₂₄O₁₂, mp 212-214°, was assumed to be 5, 7, 3'-trihydroxy-6, 4'-dimethoxyisofiavone-7-β-D-glucoside. We proposed the names iristectorin A and iristectrorigenin A for the glycoside and its aglycone, respectively.
