抄録

Immune dysfunctions in patients with pyodermia chronica papillaris et exulcerans have been well documented. In addition, embedding of follicular epithelium into the dermis is considered to play an important part in the chronicity of the disease. It follows follicular hyperplasia in the pseudoepitheliomatous hyperplasia. Inflammation may continue due to some immune function to exclude the embedded epithelial cell nests as well as their products, keratinous materials, although it is modified by secondary infections. It is supported by the fact that the disease completely heals after the whole skin appendages were destroyed.
