A patient developed toxic erythema due to ampicillin (ABPC) and phenobarbital. The erythema disappeared after the discontinuation of these drugs. Then, he developed erythema consecutively by the two kinds of cephalosporis, cephzolin (CEZ) and cefotiam (CTM) All the drugs except predonisolone were discontinued, however, his skin was finally eroded. Severe coughs and sputa persisted due to bacterial bronchitis. We used pentocillin (PIPC) very effctively after the epicutaneous testing PIPC (-) in contrast to ABPC (+). After two week's fever-free period without drugs he worsened again and the PIPC was administered again intravenously. At this time he had high fever at 40°C and turned out to be positive in the epicutaneous test.
