抄録

The physiological function of lipoprotein in fishes is not clearly defined, but it is known HDL accumulates and consumes lipid. This study examined the nutritional physiologic roles of serum lipoprotein in the accumulation and consumption of body fat in fish. First, the difference between LDL, HDL₂ and HDL₃ composition in cultured eel was evaluated. Each lipoprotein was separated by density gradient ultracentrifugation. In lipid and protein composition, HDL₂ had relatively more CE (cholesterol ester) and lower protein than HDL₃. In fatty acid composition of lipoprotein, HDL₂ was different from HDL₃ while it was similar to LDL.
