抄録

Eight patients were treated surgically for the head and neck benign tumors (excluding of salivary gland tumors and congenital anomaly) in our clinic between April, 1988 and March, 1998. The cases were two lipomas, five schwannomas and one paraganglioma. Lipoma was present in the lateral neck in two cases. The origins of schwannoma were the facial nerve, the hypoglossal nerve, the lingual nerve, the lesser occipital nerve and the vagus nerve. The paraganglioma was arisen from the vagus nerve. The diagnosis and the treatment were discussed in review of the available literature.
