Two cases of linear IgA bullous dermatosis are reported. Patient 1, a 38-year-old woman presented with generalized pruritic vesicles. She had episodes of recurrent eruptions for 10 years before a biopsy confirmed the diagnosis. Patient 2, a 84-year-old man presented with a month history of tense bullous eruptions on abdomen to thighs. Histopathologically, in both of two cases, the skin lesions showed the subepidermal blister with eosinophils and neutrophils. Direct immunofluoresence of the patient 1 showed linear deposition of IgA and C3 at the basement membrane zone (BMZ), of the patient 2 showed IgA at BMZ. Both of patients were negative for circurating anti-BMZ IgA antibody. However they became positive when the salt-split skin method was applied. She was treated with DDS 50mg daily and has been off drug for 3 years without relapse. He was successfully treated with azelastine 2mg daily for 7 days and a topical corticosteroid. She has HLA typing A24 B7 BW54 CW1 CW7 DR1 DR4 DRW53 DQW1 DQW4.
