A case of subcorneal pustular dermatosis accompanied with generalized edema is reported. She had erythematous lesions with annular crusts on the trunk and extremities. Histopathological findings revealed grouped pustules constructed by neutrophilic leukocytes and a few eosinophilic leukocytes on the lower part of hornylayer. For the treatment, combined administration of prednisolone and dapsone revealed rapid disappearance of the eruptions. Until now, no recurrence has been occurred.<BR>A review of subcorneal pustular dermatosis and aseptic pustular dermatosis was performed especially on the points of its differential diagnosis. As a result, it was hypothetically considered that the difference of phenotype in aseptic pustular dermatosis might come to their leukocytic chemotaxis from blood vessels to horny layer.
