抄録

A 1-year-old infant had severe varicella. Though she had no evidence of immunodeficiency, numberless vesicles and intense fever had developed. Prolonged cutaneous lesion, encephalitis and DIC were associated with her clinical course.After the treatment with acyclovir, antibiotics, γ-globulin, urinastatin and gabexate mesilate, numerous severe keloids had been formed over the whole part of the body. It is said that common infantile varicella is not so severe, but we stress that a treatment with antiviral agent is also needed if clinical appearance is severe even without immunodeficiency.
