抄録

The patient was a 58-year-old woman. She fell from a tower built for a local festival at the age of 6, and she got injury on her scalp which resulted an alopecic scar. Sometimes an erosion was formed on the scar since 32 years old. Because the tumor has gradually enlarged onthe scar of her scalp for 6 months, she visited to our hospital. The physical examination revealed an alopecic scar on her parietal and occipital scalp and a tumor on the scar. The histological diagnosis of the tumor was squamous cell carcinoma (SCC). The MRI revealed that the tumor invaded the inside of the skull. The metastasis was not found. Because the operation was thought to be high risky, we performed radiotherapy. After the 80Gy electron irradiation was given, the tumor disappeared. There is no sign to indicate the recurrence after 6 months from the therapy. The effect of treatment satisfyed the Complete Response (CR) criteria.<BR>Skin Research, 42: 225-229, 2000
