抄録

Fundamental and clinical studies with Cephacetrile (CEC) were performed with the following results.<BR>1. The MIC values of CEC were found to be equal to or slightly less than those obtained with other. available cephalosporin derivatives.<BR>2. CEC achieved marked therapeutic results in the treatment of cholecystitis and interstitial pneumonia caused by mixed organisms.<BR>3. CEC was found to have neither an adverse effect on renal and liver function, nor on the peripheral blood.<BR>4. This compound may be a unique antibiotic, the studies suggesting it induces less renal toxicity than Cephalothin.
