抄録

Drug eruptions which mimic lichen planus clinically and histologically are called lichenoid drug eruptions. Lichenoid drug eruptions associated with cinnarizin and pyrithioxine hydrochloride are well documented in the literature. We encountered a patient with lichenoid drug eruption caused by penicillamine and report the case here.<BR>A 42-year-old woman with chronic rheumatoid arthritis had been treated with penicillamine for seven months when round white lesions developed on the dorsum of her tongue. She had no lesions on other mucosa surfaces or the skin. One month after stopping penicillamine therapy, the lesions on her tongue has disappeared.
