抄録

A mucous cyst is a common oral mucosal lesion originating from a minor salivary gland. It mostly occurs in the lower lip and most of them are extravasation type without epithelial lining. In this report, a rare case of retention type with epithelial lining (mucous retention cyst) occurring on the soft palate in an infant (one-year-old boy) is reported with a review of the literature. Post operative course has been good, with no evidence of recurrence as of 3 years after the operation.
