抄録

The authors succeeded in the Plastic operation of congenital atresia auris externa accompanied by microtia in a by aged 7 months and a woman aged 20, whose microtia had been unsuccessfully operated soon after her birth. The well-developed mastoid cells in both cases and good hearing by bone conduction in the latter indicated the suitability of the operation.<BR>H-shaped skin incision across the pinna facilitated the chiselling of the bone, and the auditory canal was formed of the skin flaps before and behind the pinna. The incised pinna was made erect by suturing it in rod shape.
