Abstract
We are studying metal-free electro conductive material bonded wheel made of R.B.ceramics for electrolytic in-process dressing (ELID) grinding technology. This wheel realized to excellent grinding characteristics before. In this report, we discussed the heat treatment temperature of production process to improve better grinding characteristics. First, We examined best condition of heat treatment temperature using their test-piece, and actually made two wheels based on the result of experiment. We found the wheel heated 900°C is able to realize excellent ELID grinding characteristics from grinding experiments.
