抄録

Cysteine ethylester hydrochloride, at a dose of 300 mg a day for more than 4 weeks, was given to 25 patients with chronic paranasal sinusitis. Mild improvement was observed in 36% and slight improvement was seen in 56% from the overall judgement of subjective and objective symptoms.<BR>These results suggested t h at cysteine ethylester has a strong mucolytic action. This drug should be taken for more than 2 months. No side effects were noted at all.
