抄録

In the present study, we assessed the efficacy of cefteram pivoxil in children with moderate or more severe acute rhinosinusitis. In addition, we evaluated the efficacy of clinical scoring systems based on clinical symptoms and the condition of the individual patient. Cefteram pivoxil administered at 18 mg/kg/day showed better efficacy and rapid onset of action. Moreover, clinical scoring systems enabled us to evaluate the condition and symptoms chronologically. This result suggested that the clinical scoring systems were useful for clinical efficacy assessment in acute pediatric rhinosinusitis.
