Abstract
In this letter, we demonstrate the facile synthesis of monodisperse gold nanoparticles by aging an oleylamine–H[AuCl4] toluene solution in the presence of cobalt nanoparticles as a sacrificial template. The precursor of Au is a key factor for the formation of Au nanoparticles. The ratio between Co nanoparticles and H[AuCl4] also affects the morphology and monodispersity of nanoparticles.
