抄録

A study was made to determine the efficacy and safety of intermittent/sequentialadministration (potency reduction) of topical glucocorticosteroid (steroid) preparations in patients with adult atopic dermatitis for whom long-term administration of topical steroids is considered necessary.
For these patients, remission was first introduced by administration of topical steroids having a relatively high potency (e.q.betamethasone dipropionate) followed by a maintenance therapy regime. The maintenance therapy included a combination of switching to steroids of lower potency (e. q. betamethasone valerate or alclometasone dipropionate) with intermittent administration combination.
As a result, it was concluded that the above intermittent/sequential administration combination regimes used were safe and effective.
