抄録

Crohn's disease is a chronic inflammatory granulomatous disease which often involves the entire alimentary tract and presents many difficult problems for treatment. This is a case report of a 27-year-old male who developed a signoid-vesical fistula complicating Crohn's colitis. Total parental nutrition therapy failed to suppress the persistent urinary tract infection; therefore, surgical treatment was contemplated. Since radical resection of the fistula was hazardous, colostomy was performed to remove the entire left colon. As a result of this procedure, the fistula was successfully closed and the intractable urinary infection was cured.
