抄録

The authors experienced a case of lymphangioma in a child, where the localization of the tumor was on buccal and temporal region. The patient was ten year old female, and referred to us with a chief complaint of swelling of the right cheek. On diagnosis of this case, MRI was available and has been effective for the examination of tumor characteristics and localizaton. Furthermore it showed relation of tumor and tissue around, it has been useful for the selection of the operating method. The tumor was removed by temporal and intra-oral incision. Histologically, the excisional specimen consisted of lymph vessels characterized by a thin endothelium and absence of erythrocytes, therefore the lesion was diagnosed capilally lymphangioma.
