<p>In order to reduce CO2 emissions, it is important to use effectively combustible by-product gas which is generated from steelmaking processes such as blast-furnace, coke oven and converter in integrated steelworks.</p><p>In this paper, exergy analysis has been studied to enhance the efficiency of the energy utilization of steelworks. As the results, the exergy efficiency of a steelworks is able to improve approximately 30% by PCI (pulverized coal injection) increase in blast furnace and enhancement of the power generation efficiency.</p>
