<p>1,2-Bis(4’-n-alkoxybenzoyl)hydrazine [BABH(n), n is the number of carbon atoms in the alkyl chain] exhibits two different Ia3d cubic phase, depending on the chain length n. The molecular arrangements and the packing modes of the alkyl chain in the Ia3d structures clarified through a combination between a maximum entropy method (MEM) and analyzing the chain-length dependences of the body diagonal of the unit cell were reported last year. We discuss the role of alkyl chain in the formation and stability of the two Ia3d structures in this study. </p>
