抄録

In this study, the effects of uncertainty in internal structures on the elastic-viscoplastic properties of plain-woven composites are investigated using a homogenization theory. For this, 1000 cases of basic cells of plain-woven composites are created by varying cell thickness based on random numbers which generated by normal distribution. The basic cells have obtained variability in cell thickness, distance of fiber bundles, major and minor lengths of cross-sections of fiber bundles, and fiber volume fractions in fiber bundles. These geometries are compared with real plain-woven composites. Moreover, two cases of laminate misalignment between plain fabrics are also considered as uncertainty in internal structures. Using the basic cells, elastic-viscoplastic tensile analyses are performed based on a time-dependent homogenization theory. The obtained macroscopic stress-strain relations and microscopic stress distributions show that the uncertainty in internal structures significantly affects mechanical properties of plain-woven composites.
