抄録

This paper reports field occurrences and bulk chemical compositions about composite dikes, near Seto and Nakaoku areas in Kawakami village, Nara prefecture. All of them consist of narrow mafic margin and wide felsic center. In Seto area, there are four composite dikes up to ca. 40m wide. In Nakaoku area, one composite dike named D4 is greater than 31m in width. From those, two dikes, named Seto1 and D4 , from each area, were sampled to analyze bulk chemical composition. In results, composite dike margin and center were basaltic andesite and rhyolite in major element composition. On the spider diagram, mafic components from composite dikes and simple dikes around this area, e.g. northern part of the Odai caldera, show similar patterns, suggesting they were derived from the same origin.
