抄録

Although L-asparaginase is rarely used in the therapy of acute nonlymphoblastic leukemia of children, we report two child cases of nonlymphoblastic leukemia in which L-asparaginase ameliorated the clinical course to a great degree. The first case was a 7-month-old boy diagnosed as having acute monocytic leukemia. The first and second remission were achieved by the medication of L-asparaginase. The second case was a 12-year-old boy diagnosed as having acute myeloblastic leukemia. He showed a relapse after receiving unrelated bone marrow transplantation. The remis sion was accomplished by the use of L-asparaginase. The efficacy of L-asparaginase should be investigated in the treatment of acute nonlymphoblastic leukemia of children.
