東日本大震災時に首都圏で生活し,発達障害と診断されている子どもの母親が,子どもへの影響をどのように捉えて関わってきたのかを明らかにするために,発達障害児の母親7名を対象にインタビューまたはインタビューに代わる自由記載による質問紙調査を実施した。その結果,大地震発生以降に子どもを心配し気遣ってきた事象に,《恐怖の再現への気遣い》,《いつも通りでないことへの気遣い》,《地震によって強化されたこだわりへの気遣い》の3つのカテゴリーを見出した。そして,そのような災害体験が母親に突きつけたものとして,《これまで行ってきた育児の成果》,《対策のない現実》の2つのカテゴリーを見出した。考察では,災害時における発達障害児とその母親の脆弱性について検討した。

We interviewed or conducted open-ended surveys with seven mothers of children with developmental disorders living in the Tokyo　metropolitan area during the Tohoku Earthquake to investigate the influence of the mothers on their children. We found the following three categories for the anxiety and concern of the mothers for their children after the earthquake: “concern with regard to the recurrence of fear", "concern with regard to unnatural occurrences", and "concern with regard to obsessions reinforced by the earthquake". In addition, we established the following two categories with regard to issues faced by the mothers because of the experience of a disaster: achievements in child rearing until now", and "the reality of no proper measures". In our observations, we examined the vulnerability of children with developmental disorders and mothers during disasters.
