Magnesium is the most promising material for hydrogen storage due to its high hydrogen storage capacity (MgH_2:7.6 wt.%), low cost and abundance on the earth's crust, while the kinetic property and the dehydrogenation temperature are too low and high, respectively To improve these properties, magnesium is alloyed with other transition metals or their oxides We made the hydrogen storage alloy of Mg-Cu-Graphite samples with ball-milling, (I)MgH_2, (II)Mg-Graphite, (III)Mg-Cu and (IV)Mg-Cu-Graphite The crystal structures and hydrogen desorption temperatures were investigated with X-ray diffraction (XRD) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), respectively The desorption temperature of Mg-Cu-Graphite sample that had the lowest temperature was around 390℃ due to introducing defects and additives for catalytic influences
