抄録

This study is intended to investigate failure mechanism of plain concrete plates subjected to medium velocity impact. In a series of tests, a spherical nose projectile of a mass of 8.3kg and a concrete plate of 18cm in thickness were used. In order to examine the impact behavior, impact load, reaction force and strain time history were measured. Test data revealed that the failure of the concrete plate under medium velocity impact loading was generated after the reaction force emerged unlike high velocity impact condition. In order to estimate the failure state of a concrete plate subjected to medium velocity impact, the theoretical model proposed by Miwa et al. was applied and validated through comparison between theoretical and experimental results.
