抄録

<p>Sustainable development is becoming increasingly important with growing the significance of environmental issues. The development of society in harmony with nature is highlighted in the Strategy for an Environmental Nation in the 21st Century. Cultivation of actors supporting the sustainable development is one of the important missions in regional policy. In this study, we discussed about the implementation of experience–based education in the natural environment. By the basic scheme of scientific education in which follows problem finding, prediction, investigation, and verification, it was possible to make the opportunity of system thinking for considering the relationship between human society and natural environment. Various organizations such as local governmental agency, academic sector, research institute, nonprofit organization, civic group, and private company can provide the opportunities of environmental education. Their collaboration will be the key issue for the development of sustainable society.</p>
