抄録

The Silver-Russell syndrome is a type of intrauterine growth retardation, characterized by low birth weight at term, shortness of stature, asymmetry of body, variation in sexual development, pseudohydrocephalus, triangular shape of face and inverted V shape of mouth, and so on.<BR>This syndrome is described in a 4-year,1-month-old girl, who had a low birth weitht at term, shortness of stature, asymmetry of body, pseudohydrocephalus, triangular shape of face, in-curved fifth fingers, micrognathia and low set ears. In addition to these general findings, this case also disclosed the following dental findings:<BR>1) Each of the mesiodistal lengths of all primary teeth were smaller than the standard size.<BR>2) The form of the mandibular dental arch was asymmetrical.<BR>3) Roentgenogram revealed large pulp chambers in the primary teeth, especially in primary canines and primary molars.<BR>4) The mandibular body and ramus showed insufficient growth, according to cephalogram analysis.
