内容説明

Parallel computing has developed rapidly in recent years, the number of application areas having increased greatly. But parallel computing is still very much inhibited by the fact that, in many cases, the software designed for application on conventional computers cannot be used satisfactorily on the new machines. One of the main objectives of this volume is, therefore, to analyze current trends and promote further research in this field. From the research point of view, the book places emphasis on the solution of differential equations, optimisation problems and various application scopes of artificial intelligence. Careful attention is also paid to the design and use of MIMD-Computers, a technology being developed in industrial and scientific laboratories.
