This fourth edition is the most comprehensive and up-to-date International Directory available in the field of psychology. It provides - in a standardized form - professional, biographical and address information on over 32.000 psychologists from 43 countries outside the U.S.A. Collection of the massive amount of information needed is a collaborative effort of the International Union of Psychological Science (IUPsyS) and its national member societies. This fourth edition is twice the size of the previous 1980 edition. The following information is included in the entries: name and title, sex, date and place of birth, mailing address, highest academic degree, present position, membership of psychological associations and primary fields of interest or research in psychology. The National Societies have contributed information over the history and development of psychology in their country, the major scientific and professional organizations, the academic training of psychologists and important fields of research. Also included is a chapter outlining the history, functions and program of the International Union of Psychological Science.
