An illustrated reference guide covering all aspects of pediatric dermatology. Clinically orientated, this work details the pathophysiology, diagnosis and treatment of the entire range of cutaneous diseases of childhood and adolescence. Its two-fold approach gives equal emphasis to both pediatrics and dermatology, providing a comprehensive, broad base of value to the clinician. There are over 1000 illustrations that visually depict characteristic clinical findings, before and after illustrations of the results of recommended therapy of many diseases and an illustration of the pathognomic diagnostic test used to evaluate each disease discussed. Each chapter includes a section on the essentials of nutrition, growth and development, and health maintenance relevant to the disorder. A further chapter reviews the psycho-social aspects of pediatric dermatological disease. The editors have brought together the work of 50 researchers in this work which comprises of two in-depth volumes.
