Macaca mulatta: Enzyme Histochemistry of the Nervous System focuses on the enzyme architecture of the rhesus monkey (Macaca mulatta) brain, both at the gross and the microscopic levels.
Composed of 12 chapters, this book provides a complete topographical map of the distribution of several enzymes with respect to the neuroanatomical structures. It provides measurement and comparison of the relative sites and concentrations of enzymes in different cytoarchitectural areas in the brain, cerebellum, spinal cord, dorsal root ganglia, olfactory bulb, and eyes. Particular attention is placed on the distribution of a few hydrolytic and oxidative enzymes.
