This new and expanded edition of "Astrophysics of Galactic Nuclei", published by W.H.Freeman in 1974, has 3 completely new chapters - one considers nova and supernova remnants, the others discuss active galactic nuclei. The first 9 chapters, based on the earlier book, have been heavily revised and updated. The study assumes a reasonably good background in physics and some knowledge of astronomy and astrophysics. References to the literature are provided.
