内容説明
Nicolai Hartmann gave a fundamentally new orientation to ontology as a detailed analysis of the categories of reality in all its forms. In this exposition of Hartmann's philosophy, William Werkmeister analyzes the essence of nine of the German philosopher's works in ontology from its epistemological basis in a variety of his works. Especially significant are Werkmeister's categorial analyses, unexamined in contemporary philosophy, of spiritual being and of the structures of the real world and of nature. For example, in his comprehensive analysis of Hartmann's modalities, Werkmeister takes, among others, the real and the unreal, process, becoming and ideal being.
