Publications on postwar Europe have tended to concentrate on one field of interest or one particular country: this volume provides multidisciplinary insights into four different language areas - Germany (East and West), France, Spain and Italy. Politics, economics, societal changes, the media and literature are analysed in their own right and in relation to each other.
