Description
What are the practical deficiencies of traditional film-screen radiography? What technical advantages and disadvantages characterize digital radiogrphy? What alternative systems of digital radiography are available? How can computed digital radiography improve specific imaging tasks? These are just a few of the questions addressed by this textbook. Until recently, projection radiography has been a relatively safe harbor from the complexities of the digital domain. Now, however, projection radiography images based on digital computation are beginning to replace analog film images. Through text and illustrations, the authors provide technical and clinical information required to understand the technology apply it effectively in clinical situations, and make informal decisions regarding purchase and operation.
