This book provides an account of the specification of IBC services from a usage point of view. As such, it is a significant contribution to the development of the new field of service engineering. Presented are current results of usage research in the RACE programme from the perspective of the synthesis and integration activities of the URM project. Many chapters present collaborative research conducted by the URM partners.
