Since 1917 the School of Journalism at Columbia University, founded by Joseph Pulitzer, has annually distributed prizes for outstanding achievement in 14 categories - eight journaistic, five literary and one for music. This series provides access to Pulitzer Prize-winning materials. Each volume in the series is devoted to one prize category. Coverage is arranged chronologically and includes analyses - provided by the Pulitzer Prize administration - of the factors behind awarding each individual prize.
