The above mentioned meeting was organized with a view to substantially increasing the information currently available to basic scientists (with expertise in blood flow and microcirculation). Together with ophthalmologists, they should then have an interest in applying this knowledge to better diagnose and treat ocular disease. This book is a publication of the proceedings from the meeting.
