内容説明
All students of geography in higher education are required to know something about the philosophy and methodology of their subject. However, as in any academic discipline, there are many approaches and theories in geography, and their study can be very confusing. In this guide to methodology in geography, the author undertakes a survey of the issues which have been proposed, and attempts to assess their advantages and disadvantages. He includes references to physical geography, and concludes with chapters on creativity and change in the discipline. The book also includes essays on scale in geography, behavioural geography, and systems.
