Description

This book concentrates on 'very small' systems that do not normally support real-time operating systems or high level languages. Such systems are far from esoteric, and nowadays are to be found in most car dashboards, washing machines and printers. They use such single-chip controllers as the Intel 8031 to perform complex multi-tasking without the benefits of sophisticated executive programs. Since these systems often have long production runs, software design and reliability is important. This book provides a special approach to system design.
