Does close European integration present an opportunity or a threat This study looks at how 1992 may affect Britain's museums and the people who work in them. It examines the legal, commercial and professional implications of 1992, and concludes with a series of recommendations for action. Kenneth Hudson is Director of the European Museum of the Year award, and a well-known writer on museums. Recent publications include "Museums of Influence", "The Cambridge Guide to the Museums of Britain and Ireland", and "Museums for the 1980s". He is currently preparing the "Cambridge Guide to the Museums of Europe".
