This reference work presents material of clinical importance for the evaluation, diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of neoplastic diseases. Published in two volumes, this 5th edition encompasses over 84,000 entries and 22,000 cases collected from the reference literature. Complete entries are given for complex karyotypes previously abridged in past editions. Chromosomal alterations for certain clonal aberrations are classified as non-neoplastic disorders/lesions. Morphological diagnoses, particularly those of solid tumours, have been reorganized and considerably extended. Additionally, nomenclature for all karyotypes has been adjusted to conform with the most recent ISCN recommendations.
