Exploring the relationship between higher education and the world of work is highly significant in the assessment of the structure of higher education institutions and has wide-ranging implications for the future shape of their curricula. This volume examines this relationship through the contributions of leading European scholars. It offers an international perspective on:
* the changing nature of employment and the labour market
* the increasing diversification of higher education institutions, curricula and clients
* the interconnections between changes in the labour market and changes in higher education
* the policy frameworks and strategies through which governments may seek to steer these relationships.
