This superbly illustrated atlas provides a panoramic view of pediatric oncology. The reader will find definitions of the various tumours, brief data on epidemiology and staging, and carefully selected illustrations of the clinical, macroscopic, microscopic and where relevant, ultrastructural and histochemical features of childhood cancers. The spectrum of modern multimodality imaging is represented: plain roentgenograms, computed tomography scans, nuclear medicine scans, ultrasound and magnetic resonance images are included.
Further discussion of practical problems, specific treatment regimens, and the early and late complications of combined modality therapy are provided in the companion volume, 'Practical Pediatric Oncology', also published by Arnold.
