This book provides expert guidance on the choice and use of imaging studies for the diagnosis of benign and malignant gynecologic disorders. The book will aid radiologists and gynecologists in planning a cost-effective diagnostic workup by selecting the best single series of imaging modalities for a particular clinical problem. Each chapter begins with a discussion by a clinician of the clinically relevant parameters of a specific gynecologic disorder. This discussion is followed by a thoroughly illustrated presentation and correlation of the primary and secondary diagnostic imaging modalities, including conventional and color Doppler sonography, magnetic resonance imaging, and computed tomography. The authors clearly explain the advantages and limitations of each imaging modality relative to those clinically pertinent parameters that affect patient management. Coverage also includes information on sonographically guided interventional procedures and postoperative imaging. Complementing the text throughout are more than 700 detail-revealing scans, including 191 in full color
